It annoys me that they always get included at the bottom of the message, and not where the cursor is.

I tried the closing it trick. I'll try it again and report back
edit - didn't work. Oh well
edit 2 - have you seen the amount of errors this board reports in the JS console on FIrefox?

It does it with me sometimes dan if all the gifs and things have`nt fully loaded.

DanB could it be your Java stuff that is fecked?
Try re-installing Firefox, then install or re-install the JRE 5.0
