I have 6mbps download :/
1-56kbps (dialup speeds)
57-256kbps (slow dsl, slow cable, or ISDN)
266kbps-1mbps (average dsl and cable speeds in UK and US)
1-2.5mbps (pretty fast dsl or cable)
2.5-5mbps (fast cable and dsl)
5mbps+ (very fast connection )
Unsure\Don't have a net connection
5714 kbps down, 3707kbps up on the college resnet (one line of my two personal lines since my roommate moved out.) unfortunitly there is a two gig per day limit per line. at least if you know that you are going to be downloading a large file like a dvd, you can tell them ahead of time and they will not shut off your internet when you exceed the limit. also we have an on campus file sharing program that is not bounded by the download limit, so I at one point downloaded 39 gig in a day.
I've got a 10Mbit+ connection.
Not sure exactly how fast it is, but I have downloaded and uploaded @ at least 1Mbyte/sec.
