How about making some user groups just to make the members that have made a contribution to the forum have a little bit more priviliges.

150 - 1000, and 1000 - 5000 are big jumps. Might want to fill those gaps in.

Something Like:

Minimum - 0
Minimum - 150
Minimum - 500
Minimum - 1000
Minimum - 2000
Minimum - 3000
Minimum - 4000
Minimum - 5000
Minimum - 10000

If things stay as they are now, and I keep up my current rate of posting, I can expect to become a post whore sometime around 2010-11.

But, if we use stars to go with Samurai's suggested plan for post milestones, that'll mean members with 10K+ posts will have 8 or 9(!) stars.

I have a problem with Post Whore . What ever happenned to the ratings system? Some slob posts hint's and guides , very helpful member. And we call him a whore? Sorry but seems retarded .

I think it would be nice to update the User Titles.

The current User Titles are:

   Newcomer:  	Minimum Posts 0  	
   Member:	Minimum Posts 150

soooo... why am i still a newcomer???

and yeah... it'd be nice if the jumps were shorter and there were more titles...

Stars are good. I'm using the ones from the FST Invision board for my vB forum. Not too sure about extra priviledges for some members as it may create some division and the higher access levels could be abused if the accounts were targetted.

User titles shouls be based on a combination of post count and join date..

I don't want to be classed as a "Post Whore" when I reach 5000 posts (sometime around the year 2012 I estimate...)

The User control panel displays an "Average number of posts per day" count, this should be used to determined Whoreyness...
