Hey i have a dvd player that can play vcd/mp3/jpeg/cd-rw/dvd-rw and so on... now is it possible for me to play mpeg or avi files off a normal cd on the dvd player.

Well, it all depends on your player. Some don't advertise that they play mpegs but they do, and vice versa. Is your DVD player old or new?

If it's an older model, an upgrade would be great as you could then download films in, say, divx, and be able to play them with no problems.

I'd test it out. 1 CD-R won't break the bank. Good luck

    How about you try it?

We cannot answer such questions if you don't provide a model.

Superceded by the 6700, and it is even cheaper.

Political correctness is based on the principle that it's possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.
