    Neither.

    Rodgers, not Rogers.

My Mam says Freddie Mercury had the greatest vocal range and had the most powerful voice she'd ever heard. He was also the greatest live performer she'd ever seen.

    She is rarely wrong.

I can't decide but Dave Quackenbush would probably get my vote if this was a poll.

Who the hell is Paul Rodgers.
I plan on beating him to death with his kids. I'll use them as a bludgeon on his face. -

Good thread, but why don't you guys give the name of the band as well ?

What about Robert Plant - Led Zeppelin ?

    Regards

Freddie had perhaps the most powerful voice, and I don't ever recall thinking he sang full-out; he always seemed to have to restrain himself.

Listen to "Too Much Love Will Kill You" and see if you agree.

He was a great, great performer.

    Surely you joust?

Oh, right, Digby-Paul Rodgers: Free, Bad Company, The Firm, several solo efforts...

Of course, I suppose there are other opinions....

Paul Rodgers is supposed to be leading vocals for the new incarnation of Queen. I mean, he is a great vocalist... but you just cant replace Freddie!!

As for my favorite vocalist... male would be toss up between Bruce Dickinson and Rob Halford. For Female... well hmmmmm Bjork
