Thread: Download Speed

  1. #1
Can anyone tell me what speeds I will get when downloading with:

    A 300k cable connection and
    A 750k cable connection

for use with Kazza lite and Bittorrent

Also will the speed be slower if its connected through the USB.

    Cheers

with p2p downloading it all depends on with what speed people are uploading.

with a 300k connection you can get a max of 35kb/s
    with 750k = 85kb/s

Connection method doesn't have any significant effect on your u/l and d/l speed. Also don't try having them both running, or they will be slower then if you'd sum up when running in diffrent time and K-Lite might loose sources (at least it happens to me when i use up my bandwidth with K-Lite running, think the sources get timed out and marked as offline)

don't get 300k if you download a lot, 750k seems good

I have 1.5mb and get a max download of 160kb/s

Take the speed your ISP says and divide that by 8. That will be the fastest you can d/l (going by bytes).
