the using RAID you dont really combine the disks, id use JBOD if i were you, less risk involved, and the disks dont have to be the same size:

well it was originally for these 3 old 10gb hd's but now i got another 7 20gb hd's as well

well remember that they all need power (getting a new one is usually a better idea)
and for what purpose do you want to put them together?? this really matters, please be more specific if you want help........
