Thread: What the **** is the problem?

  1. #1
Im pissed now. Everytime I try to convert a movie from any format to another, my pc freezes. I even just did a fresh install of XP and it still does it. Ive tried with TMPGEnc, WinAVI and about 3 or 4 others.

    Windows XP Pro
    Athlon XP [email protected]
    512 MB ram
160 GB Western Digital 7200 rpm
    GeForce Ti4200

Anyone have any idea how i can fix this?

Pretty sure thats not the problem. I had the codec pack before I reinstalled... not sure if I tried to convert then. Ill try it tomorrow though.

Put you CPU back to stock settings. Its currently OC'd by about 125Mhz.

Set your CPU back to default speed.

Edit: I see I'm repeating what has already been said. (It was posted while I was typing).

try this in tmpgenc: go to options, then click environmental settings. then on the vfapi plugin tab right click 'directshow multimedia file reader' and choose higher priority. set the priority to 4 or something.
