Thread: how to unformat?

    hi, is there any software that can undo a format and restore all the files in the hard disk as it is?

    its not possible to get everything back but there are some tools you can use to get some files back.
    I cant give you a program because I cant think of one @ the moment.

    There is the unformat command in DOS.

    Your thinking in dos 6.33, which can only support fat16 drives and may not even work on new computers.

    Some disk Partitioning tools have unformat options. I think PowerQuest PartitionMagic has one.
