i was wondering if i convert an avi file to mpeg 1 and just burn it as dvd as data format will it play in my dvd with no probs cause aint got the time to do the whole encoding process

It depends what type of DVD Player you have. Some read almost all files and some (like mine) are too picky and only play correctly encoded and burned discs
