Most versions of K-Lite come with a HOSTS file (it can be found in system32\drivers\etc). The HOSTS file tells your puter where to find the hosts for the listed sites. It can be used to block ads and crappy sites.

For instance, if you put "127.0.0.1 www.kazzagold.com" in your hosts file, and try to go to kazaagold.com, you'll end up going to 127.0.0.1 which is your computer, which is nowhere. So (with IE) trying to go to kazaagold.com will give you that error. The HOSTS file is used to block ads on websites.
