just got a movie that is in ac3 format and the musical score and sound effects are GREAT! but i can't hear the dialog. it's so low it's like mumbling. if i turn the speakers all the way up i get sound, but it cums with A LOT of static. any way to fix this? the movie is in perfect quality and don't want to lose it, but hate the sound it cums with. thx.

There is an option in recent version of the K-Lite Codec Pack called "boost AC3 volume".

You can also manually tweak the AC3filter settings. There should be an AC3 icon in your control panel.

Setting the voice gain at a fixed value of 10 also helps a bit.

Or, enable the MPC internal AC3 decoder: Options > Filters
