How in gods name do I use Steam to run my games. I recently got the HL2 Steam Bronze package over steam but my games freeze up when they run and apparantely they have to be updates but how???

Still... it shouldn't have locked up on him. It should just pop up with the "Updating..." progress bar, or something like that, if he tries to play the game before it's ready.
