actually ive heard the crytsal xbox is actually far inferior to the black ones. it was basically seen as a way for microsoft to produce the machine cheaper. theres no major differences in the retail versions ie the hardware is the same (hdd, dvd-rom drive etc) - but the motherboard and internal wires and mechs were produced more cheaply.
both versions are still good tho - so pick whichever you like the look or more i spose
then replace the dvd-rom with a better drive - cos the original is a right fussy bastard! and this way you can read xvid cd-rs!
