    If there was the slightest chance that power loss during defragging could cause corruption there would probably be law suits flying round the world.

    One of the reasons why defragging can take such a long time is because it has to be safe, Fiber's comments are entirely correct.

    No. Not true interupted defrag during system files can & does f up an OS.
