Is the game ¨Battlefiel 1942¨ for PC only playable online?
or can I play it like any other game also?.

And now that Im here, I´ve seen the comercial for ¨Call Of Duty¨, and it seems prety impresive, and has great graphics, so, what are the PC requirements for a game like that?

    Here ya go:

    1) Yes, you can play Battlefield 1942 in singleplayer in a form of a campaign, you can either be allied or axis. But trust me, it was made to be played online. Single Player for it gets very dull/boring after a few missions/campaings.

    2) System REQUIREMENTS, my suggestion, there's no point in playing a game if you can't fully enjoy it (don't play on crappy computer, if ur system is in the min. req. range the game will run really choppy)

    Microsoft Windows 98/ME/2000/XP

Pentium III 600 MHz or Athlon 600 MHz processor or higher for systems with Windows 98/ME

Pentium III 700 MHz or Athlon 700 MHz processor or higher for systems with Windows 2000/XP

    128 MB of RAM

8x CD-ROM drive (1200 K/sec sustained transfer rate) and latest drivers

1.4 GB of uncompressed free hard disk space (plus 400 MB for Windows 98/ME swap file, 600 MB for Windows 2000/XP swap file)

100% DirectX 9.0b compatible 16-bit sound card and latest drivers

100% Windows 98/ME/2000/XP compatible mouse, keyboard, and latest drivers

    DirectX 9.0b (included)

3D Hardware Accelerator Card required - 100% DirectX 9.0b compatible 32 MB hardware T & L-capable; video card and latest drivers

Jeff Loomis: He's so good, he doesn't need to be dead to have a tribute.

if you're gonna buy either of these games they both come in packs that are dirt cheap.

    for example:

    cod+cod united offensive

bf1942+bf1942 road to rome+bf1942 secret weapons of ww2

i'm using an amd 3000 (2.09ghz) and 1024 mb ddr ram and run fine. sdram will tend to struggle with graphic intensive games but when you see it, particularly online you'll know you made the right choice. especially if you're playing bf1942 and the desert combat mod

dont bother buying the bf1942 expantion packs, there crappy. just download the Forgotten Hope mod. Its a addon because of bf1942's extream historical inacuracy. Also i would look at downloading desert combat.

www.bf1942files.com < take a look around theres tons of mods and stuff
