For defragging the registry I like PageDefrag v2.3 (freeware) here hxxp://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/utilities.shtml

For registry cleaning RegSeeeker & RegCleaner. Both Freeware.

General computer cleanup WinDoctor 2005 ripped from NSW. And TuneUp Utilities 2004. Both not free.

And for getting back 100's of MB's of space from junk files DustBuster. Not for control freaks to say the least. Freeware.

None of these have failed me.

Regcleaner is a freeware! No trouble with keys/cracks.

I have used System Mechanc Pro, but I think it may have spyware in it !

I entered a cracked serial and it worked fine for a few days, then it came up and said my registration code was invalid and it deleted itself !

Any other comments on this ?

It seems very hard to get a good Free (legal) disk defragger !

And what abotu a pogram to access files in the C:/RESTORE folder ? there's hundreds of megs in there - all Access Denied.

    Regards
    Digby

No I was saying that because it was freeware, it was good! And it is good because you dont need to mess around with no cd cracks and serials. And it is simple.
