how do u make the sub-titles work with vlc? i've messed around with it and can't get it to work. all file names are the same. manually told vlc which file 2 use. it's even setup to directly find and use the file @ startup. what else to do?

Why not use MPC or BSplayer?
you have to have the right subtitle extension or else it dont work
i always end up with mpc

simple really, whats the problem?
thx, but yeah, the problem is vlc doesn't autodetect subs. and they way u just explained makes it so the same subs rather it's for a different movie or not are always displayed. tried to turn them off multiple times, but still f'ed up. had to move the movie out of my movies folder for it to quit displaying. gay. maybe 8.2 is in the works...
