Computer just stopped recogniseing my CD-RW and DVD+RW drives.

My computer just recently stopped recognising my CD-RW and DVD+RW drives. It just worked yesterday. Ok so I just got my copy od cod in the mail (

) and I put the disc in the drive and nothing happened so I was like wtf so I went to My Computer and it doesnt show my two drives. Wtf mates?

I did...twice and I took out my psu cord and waited like 5 mins for the capacitators to recharge or w/e and I reconnected it and still no luck. What do I do??

System restore should sort it.

This advice assumes you are running XP...
Remove case sidepanel (machine is powered OFF!) and unplug both drives.
Turn on machine and boot to desktop.
Shut down.
Plug both drives in.
Start up again and Windows should detect and install the "new hardware".
If so, replace sidepanel and cross your fingers.
