    doesn't matter...
    if your sound card works then you don't need to install sound drivers.
    double click teh little speaer icon and unmute the microphone.

    OK.
    I got it to work without having to install the driver VB linked me too.

    I just did a hardware test and I can hear myself

    But is it normal that it has an echo?
    It's like I'm speaking through a mic. in a church.

    try turning the 20% gain off, then on and seeing if it's still there

    actually, you dont want to turn the gain off if you're planning on using the mic. go to your volum tab, find "microphone" and check the box that says "mute".

    now you wont hear what you are saying.

    Hes trying to get rid of the echo, not his voice.

    the "mute" option in the "recording" will mute his voice. the "mute" uption in the playback tab will get rid of the echo.

    incase you dont know what im talking about, i doubt you do

    double click on your volume icon, go to option, properities, and you should see something like 2 tickbox, one should read "playback" the other "recording".
