    how does this program work? i know its a p2p program, yet when i choose to download something, it wont download it, it states "asked for another file" does this mean the user wants a file in return? how exactly does this work.

    I've never seen that message, but you have to upload stuff to download stuff and the more you upload the faster your downloads will be

    my Emule is eating memory and makes my computer swaping all the time, is that normal?

    "Asked for another file" means you asked for another file from the same user.

    I suggest reading this and this to start out.
