Copying Programs To A Brand New Computer

So, im getting a new computer. what i want to do is to get all of the programs that i have and use on this computer over to the new computer. i'm going to first install a new windows xp pro on the new computer first and then move over the progams from this computer. would norton ghost work? and is it easy to do?

get a router and do it that way

Copy everything from your existing boot drive to the new one then boot to the XP CD and perform a Repair Install
