Let's say that you order something off of a very big internet-based company (named after a vast south american river or a mythic all-female warrior tribe).
After more than a month, you still haven't received anything, so you send an e-mail to their customer service. They think the package is lost and send you a replacement one, no charge.
Then, on the very same day, the two packages arrive!
So what would you do?

I'm not sure. It's a collector's edition of "the lord of the rings" in one volume, but it's a tad expensive for a book. You'd have to be a super-geek to buy it.Originally Posted by DanB

Keep both initially, but give one away as a present.
A similar thing happened to me just before Xmas so I did that and still retained a bit of karma, I think
I plan on beating him to death with his kids. I'll use them as a bludgeon on his face. -

If you didn't sign for them, ie. it was normal mail, then I don't think so, it's difficult to prove, anyway.
With me it was slightly different. I ordered a digital camcorder, bit fancy it was so they gave you a free kit to go with it that was worth about £50. When it arrived there were two packages containing two camcorders but no free kit. I guess some geptard packed them up wrong.
I've since given away one of them and haven't heard anything from the firm that sold me it.

I did sign for one of them (the one that was sent through DHL) the other one came through normal post (which incidentally is the reason it wasn't delivered in time, curse the dyslexic mailmen!)
