    Mouse will not move

My sister's computers mouse has frozen in the middle of the screen for some reason.
I dunno what she's done to it from what I can see she hasn't done anything.
I tried my mouse but that does the same thing just stay in the center of the screen.
The current mouse is in the ps/2 slot so I tried a male USB to Female PS/2 to convert it to see if the PS/2 slot is faulty but it still don't work.

    Any ideas?
I wasn't going to buy it in the first place, so me downloading it for free isn't losing them any money.

gto into device manager and see if the mouse is showing up with a ? or a ! next to it.
if so right click>uninstall>restart and see if that helps.

Sounds like you had a power surge of some type. Did you by chance unplug or plug a PS/2 mouse while the computer was powered on?
