that's y i use upnp. it only opens the on that is currently being used. if i don't use upnp, my router has this thing called port triggering, which is also th same concept. so it's not dangerous

you need some kind of services running on the ports to exploit to crack a system. so leaving bittorant ports open with nothing running on them is not really dangerous.
just set yourself up to use a set of ports that are not normally used by bittorent and you will be fine. randomly picking ports does not increase security or prevent port throttling in any way.
