Thread: No sound from cd rom drive

    this is for my friends computer it's a compaq presario 7360 i know it's freaking old. the computer's sound works but nothing comes out of the cd rom drive so any ideas?

    What OS? If it is before Windows XP then maybe missing the audio cable between the CD-ROM drive and the sound card.

    the os is 98se. yea it's missing the cable didn't bring one with me when i was at there house. I'll give them one of mine see if it works. thx

    You're welcome. With Windows 98 if you don't have that cable then you won't get sound. So that should work then.
