    Other than getting your standard media do you actually use newsgroups for chatting, discussing, finding information etc.

    On occasion I use it for tech support with my ISP and used to check some P2P groups...

    I help the people that are asking in one group for something, when it somewhere else. Or anyother problem they have.

    I don't really understand that people continue to use newsgroups solely for discussions.
    It's so easy now (and free) to set up a message board.

    I use a local buy/sell group to buy my PC parts and sell my old stuff. I only just started using the groups for downloading stuff a couple of days ago and my ISP is hating me right now.I must of downloaded 25 PS1 games and about 10 cd's etc. in the last couple of days.LOL
