Thread: Archiving MP3

    Whats the best way to Archive my MP3's. I have them stored on a friends Ipod and need to burn them so i will tranfer them to my pc RAR/Zip?whatever them up and burn. But whats the best way to archive them? Theres 10gb of them. Im hoping to get them onto 2 dvds?

    archieving them won't make them too much smaller, the only real way to make them smaller is re-encoding them to a lower bitrate

    You wanna archive 10gigs of mp3s? burn them to CDR if losing them concerns you. You won't fit 10 gigs of data on two 4gig DVD-Rs. 3 for sure....

    2 DVDs = about 9.4 gig plus maybe another CDr for the remaining 700 meg

    like jibbler said 3 DVDrs at least

    If u have a dual layer burner you could make 2 DVDs
