Clik "file -"open" upload image
then
clik "edit" - resize
ok

you can resize it if you think the siz eof it is too big (i mean dimensions not file size).
But you can also go to export/save for web/something like that in photoshop (i use fireworks, but both programs are good) and save it as a jpg then adjust the quality.
