About the Nvidia Geforce4 MX series. Don't get one. Get at least a Geforce4 Ti4200 64MB. There is a BIG difference.

Based on your response... I don't think you understood my last post.

I was trying to say that the Geforce4 Ti4200 64MB is NOT the "best" but it is a lot better than the MX series. The MX series is below the Geforce 3 performance level.

It is the lowest priced card in the GeForce 4 Ti series.

There is also a HUGE difference in price. Paid £50 for my MX440SE 128ddr and it works a treat.

The equivelent Ti version is more than 3x' that.

Besides you can have the fastest gpu in the world but if you aint got enough ram on it then it will perform like POO.

    heh

Your trying to compare a Ti card to a newer MX card, it wont work.

Compare a G4 MX to a G3 or G2 MX and you'll see the real differnece.

Y do people like to compare UN-alike things and say one is better.

Its like that amd vs p4 thread, people trying to compare a 2ghz chip (amd 3000+) with a 2ghz P4, you cant do that.
since the 3000+ is comparable to a p4 3ghz with HT.

EDIT: well to be truthfull you can compare them, but you will see that the amd chip beats the shit out of it similary clocked p4 equivelent - but you know what i mean. Compare like with like, you cant compare an apple to an orange and say i like that apple better when u have an orange, which is clearly not an apple, argh now im confusing myself
