Thread: Digitalising A Tape

  1. #1
my ma asked me to make one of her ancient tapes into a cd. i figure i would just play it up through earphone out into my comp and record onto goldwave. i havent started trying yet but i thought someone here might have tried this before, is there a better way? and anyone know a program that i can clean up the sound with? ive seen some commercial for something like that i think

    Cheers

Yes - you can record into an audio editor (I dont know Goldwave - I use Sound Forge).
Then you can clean it up in Steinberg Clean. This will do what you want it can specifically make allowances for recording audio from a tape source and has a wizard to guide you through all the stages.

Should easily come up in any search in Kazaa.
