They seemed to like the word extreme a lot, not that they could pronunce it.
Looked funny tho', but I'd rather have seen a proper test, with cooling, to see how long it'd last. Bet it wouldn't be much longer tho'.
It almost looks like they faked it with a small charge or something.

the heatsink wouldn't be attached so taht they could remove it faster...
tomshardware or someone did that once and there's wasn't hooked on either.
that doesn't mean that this video is fake though...on tomshardware the chip didn't explode like that...
There might be a slight possibility that they aren't faking it, I'm not sure how ceramic cracks under high temps, but it's possible that it explodes like that, and they seem to be setting the clockspeed from inside windows, so i guess they could have kept it very low, then just entered the speeds and pressed enter.Originally Posted by racer II
But, I think it's fake too, there should be just a little smoke, and the hole underneath looks a bit weird.
Like I said, it almost looks like they did it with a small charge of something, but I'm not sure.
They might have shot at it with something from above or below, that would explain the hole.
the hole looks like it was done with a drill bit

Theres just no way they can get such an oc on aircooling.
And if they did , im sure that guy wouldt have picked up the heatsink by bare hands
