Yes - you can record into an audio editor (I dont know Goldwave - I use Sound Forge).
Then you can clean it up in Steinberg Clean. This will do what you want it can specifically make allowances for recording audio from a tape source and has a wizard to guide you through all the stages.
Should easily come up in any search in Kazaa.
