Utorrent is without question the best available for Windows.... the poll lacks any mac clients, so I just thought I'd comment to say that I like Transmission best, but due to it's being banned on Oink, I am forced to use Tomato.

Use azureus 2.4.02 here, tried a few other clients (utorrent being the last 1) and i keep coming back to azureus because i like the features it has. Its not a problem running it if you have a decent amount of ram (768MB in my system)

µTorrent. The smallest, the fastest, the best.
Your choice when you are on Windooz.
On open source OS? Than your choice must be Azureus!

Using Bitcomet after trying Bittorrent and Azureus. Was looking for the least resource intensive app while still having the features I need and Bitcomet for now seems to be that.

I tried bittorrent oficial, bittornado, bitcomet, azureus, bitcomet again =) Now i'm with utorrent, think it's best (nothing unnecessary, unlike azureus
).

bitcomet is banned at some sites because of it DHT function.
some sites can not record the amount of data that bitcomet uploads or downloads.

I think if this thread was closed, and a new poll was started, utorrent might be taking the lead. this thread was started in feb. 2005, long before utorrent was around, and includes a year and a half of voting. not really a current, or accurate picture of client usage.
I would predict the results to look like this: utorrent, azureus, bitcomet

yeah true,
it would be interesting to see if the new clients are the most popular now, or if people are sticking with the old trustworthy ones

Bitcomet 0.68 is not bad. Utorrent is also good and it does not consume a large amount of physical memory.
