Azureus. I switched from Bitcomet when I got a new router (went from cable to dsl) because it gave me info about my firewall status.

I use uTorrent for my Windows machine. I use Transmission for my Mac iBook. Both work very well, in their respective environments.

  16. BitTorrent   -   #696
Recently switched from ABC to uTorrent, very pleased with it so far

  17. BitTorrent   -   #697
    Bitcomet real

  18. BitTorrent   -   #698
I use µTorrent, because it's the one that has given me the best results in every aspect, including memory usage

I was a big fan of BitComet, but then joined some trackers that would not allow me to use it. Made the switch to Azureus, which is what I use now. Seems to be OK, but am looking into making the switch to Utorrent, as I would definately like to try something that is less CPU intensive.

    utorrent's size is unbeatable

  23. BitTorrent   -   #703
I used to be a diehard BitTornado fan but recently made the switch over to uTorrent. uTorrent's small footprint, low memory usage, and overall stability is unbeatable. Thus, uTorrent is my first recommendation followed by BitTornado.

how can a client download faster than others ??? :p does any client come with a new connection or something ? the only differences between clients are: 1. memory usage 2. cpu usage (ths are very important and become crytical when you download and seed lot's of torrents) 3. extra functions or plugins (not so important in my opinion) 4. trackers where the client is banned

considering those i am using azureus right now, but i could switch to utorrent very easy. both azureus and u are very stable and use a decent ammount of memory and the last versions are not banned on any tracekr (on any trackers that's important at least)

bitcomet liked it very much but according to this theread bittornado is good tooo. so tryin it right now

started with tornado, moved to ABC - ditched it because it was too slow, changed to Azureus but it kept crashing after about a year of solid service, changed to utorrent and now that does the job. I do like the extras that come with azureus.
Most private trackers i use have banned most things azureus and utorrent are pretty much all universally accepted.

  34. BitTorrent   -   #714
utorrent works best for me, low on resources and killer speeds

whent from Azureus to µTorrent one year ago

  36. BitTorrent   -   #716
Due to the crappiness of my router I am only able to use clients which give the option to specify a port range. Currently G3 Torrent is the best of that bunch.

  37. BitTorrent   -   #717
    µtorrent

  38. BitTorrent   -   #718
Is this really necessary? Everyone knows that the client to rule them all is clearly Azureus....although at one time...I was 100% certain it was Burst..
