Azureus
utorrent... its NOT a resource hog unlike azureus and has a lot of features for such a small program.
Tornado 0.3.7
uTorrent is my definite choice.
After BitComet got banned on a few torrentsites I decided to give uTorrent a try, and my am I glad. It's got all features of BitComet but it's a LOT better on resources and it's got some very nice features BitComet doesn't.
It's amazingly small at that, just under 140kb, no install needed and uses very little memory.
I'm not looking back... I've used the original BT client, BitTornado (which at least back when I tried it was just a big bug), Azureus (horrible resource hog at least back then) and Bitcomet (very nice, but just not up to uTorrent standard).

am looking 4 speed should i use Utorrent or Azureus??
Utorent uses very little resources and is an exelent client. and i have tryed many of them. go for utorrent you wont be disappointed
Yeah I am surprised at the small size of uTorrent and the resource usage.
@gumati: All BitTorrent Clients are same 'speed' just depends on how you configure them.
uTorrent here as well from BitTornado.
It is so fast. All my downloads finish in hours maybe a day for over 1GB which took days if not weeks before.
CPU usage is 0 for uTorrent when actively downloading and seeding, amazing.
The only downside is that it only downloads one file by default it stops all seeds when downloading and added downloads are qued. Doesn't matter much as it downloads so fast.
I used to use Azureus on both my Mac mini and my PC but now I use μTorrent on my PC and Transmission on my Mac.
Azureus is much more better than transmission.
I have tried a lot of different bittorrent programs and I have ended up with utorrent. The main reasons for my choice is: I got better downloadspeeds with utorrent, and utorrent has a upload scheduler.
Which is the most popular client for Macs?
bittornado stable version(not the latest).kinda unfortunately ive a connection under a Lan so,altough im fastest with direct connect protocol, have some NATing troubles managing torrent files cuz downloads use a lil part of the band....anyway altough is kinda rare sometimes with bt reach something about 200-250 kb/sec.
i prefer bittornado over all other vlients. its stable and takes less usage from pc
uTorrent > *
i use utorrent. its so much better than azureus which i used before. utorrent uses very less system resources(something that i have very little)
Bittornado and bitlord.
Used to use Bitcomet, but lately have been using different clients and can't find like Bitcomet stable and simple in use.
i voted bitcomet, that's the one i used to use in windows.
but for now, i'm using the bittorent-client that comes with ubuntu.
I use both AZ and Utorrent

Anybody try tomato or torrentstation?? I used to use Azureus but I was wondering what else is good for Mac out there...any suggestions?
I found my way to utorrent and love it!
I use azureus, love it.
I use the official one
Crazy about filesharing
I've had good luck with Bitspirit
hahahah @ so many using that java pos azureus~ uTorrent is the shit, 60+ torrents running and takes 5MB ram and less then 1% cpu \o/
µTorrent
I was using Azureus but like others in this thread I noticed it could be a resource hog at times. I'm been using utorrent lately. I like it. It's small, fast, and efficient. After reading this thread I'm gonna have to check out BitComet though.
So I voted for utorrent, but really I'm still undecided.
I used to use BitTorrent, but its crap so i use Azureus now.
One question about BitComet y is it being banned from some torrent sites such as torrentit?

ive used bitspirit for some time now after using the original bit torrent and bit torenado, and azureus and just about all the clients. Im very happy with bitspirit its got a great interface and a good preferences menu that lets you fine tune it to your computer.
wow, i'm surprised at Azureus still going strong.
i was a BitComet user, but then it started getting banned all over, and i switched to uTorrent. haven't looked back since. i still miss some things from BitComet, but uTorrent is strongly in development and gets better every day. they're planning a full-blown web interface for the next release, so that should really rock.
µtorrent works fine for me :-)
I'm still using Bitcomet
I have tried Azureus but I just don't like it,
I'm still on bitcomet 056, well old, but it runs so well
yeah i've permenantly decided to stick with utorrent. I downloaded the latest version of Azureus and this program just wont work properly. Seriously how did the developers fuck this program up. It worked well back in the 2.2.0.2 release, but after that the program just insecure.
Bitcommet Combinated With Bufferzone
Agreed, and Azureus became worse after I updated it to 2400. It would last about 30mins and then just crash my PC. I did like the interface but I can live without it.yeah i've permenantly decided to stick with utorrent. I downloaded the latest version of Azureus and this program just wont work properly. I'm using Azureus 2.3.06.
Azureus is the 1st bittorrent client I've used and it's ok, though I've heard very good things about µtorrent since it's so efficient and small, as opposed to Azureus that uses up a lot of cpu.
