Why ? I like that old saying , The new computer you buy today will be your oldest in two years! in most cases that's true . So buy a top of the line monitor first and upgrade the rest when your ready. If you really think about it, a mobo is probably the next important purchase . Then you can build your whole plan around it . Upgrade cpu, add vid card , change case .... ect. But your monitor stays constant . But just ones opinion .![]()

just keep the cpu and ram around the same performance isntaead of paying more for one of them (if you're gaming a lot). RAM should always be a good amount though.

Video Card, CPU, RAM, Power Supply, Monitor, not neccesarly in that order. The PSU is an imporntant and overlooked component but really you don't need a 500W power supply if you just have middle of the range components. Right now I run a 6800GT off a 320Watt stock power supply and although i'm getting a new one it doesn't really give me any hassles. Monitor was the first thing I upgraded, try to get something quality.
