    Hi,

I bought a old Monitor which doesn't seem to work with winxp.
When i connect the monitor, the Winxp Loading screen looks fine, but when I'm in desktop, the screen looks fuked up.

Is there a way i can use a old monitor?

    Here are my comp. specs:
    WINDOWS XP HOME
    AMD ATHLON XP 2600+
    2.01 GHz
    768 OF RAM

At bootup keep pressing the F8 key until you see the Windows Advanced Options Menu. Select Enable VGA and you will be able to bootup with the basic resolution and refresh settings.

    What Virtualbody1234 posted should help.

I had the same problem with an old Compaq Monitor I had. When I upgraded my computer and installed WinXP the same exact thing happened to me. I ended up going out and buying a new NEC LCD monitor. I found out later that all I needed to do was change something in my BIOS.
