It looks like it could be a faulty batch of media. I had a similar problem with a spindle of 4X Memorex DVD+R. Try other brands and try burning at slower speed.
If nero fails chances are other programs are going to fail if you do the exact same thing.Originally Posted by foot loose

either that or i dont know what you mean by that![]()
because for the last year i couldnt use nero for nothin
multiple builds of nero, same results![]()
nero failed, alcohol always worked
now alcohol fails and nero 6.6.0.6 is doin all my burning
and ive used the same media (brand) the whole time, memorex and maxell
this is gonna sound funny, but i think it was my mobo/chipset
MSI/KM266....alcohol pwned nero
Gigabyte/nForce2.....nero pwns alcohol now
i mean, its the ONLY change i've made![]()
I am just a worthless liar. I am just an imbecile.
I will only complicate you. Trust in me and fall as well.
I will find a center in you. I will chew it up and leave.
I will work to elevate you just enough to bring you down.
The simplest way would be to use DVDShrink, open folder and select make ISO then...Originally Posted by Damnatory

Hmm, as sad as it sounds, I haven't tried it on a slower burn speed... Maybe that will help. I'll try that.
If not I suppose I'll have to try the image creating thing RealitY said.
I'll let ya know. ( thanks by the way )
Hmm, well they seem to burn fine if I burn them at half the speed... 4x It's a pain in the ass, as it takes like 20 minutes to burn, but at least im not wasting DVDr's anymore...
Anyone know what could cause a problem like that? They were burning perfectly fine at 8x on this machine for like 3 weeks, now all of the sudden I have to use 4x? Could the constant stress of burning DVD's be decadent to the drive?
I just recently had a similar issue with writing cdrs for music and have no idea why also...
It's the media that isn't "perfect".
