why dont the movie industry just release movies strait to DVD ant a resonable price of 5-10 pounds that way they will not loose as much money thought pirating.
i would rather buy the original for 5 pounds than get a crapy copie.
also way don't they just release the film world wide like the did with matrix

    huh

good movies make more then 100 million dollars (ONLY IN THE US) only when the movie is in theaters. there is much more money in the theaters then when they just release them on DVD.

I agree with you that piracy will be less if movies will be released worldwide @ the same date

remember that the DVD you have is a TC.

also if DVDs will be released @ the same day worldwide you don't need the region code shit anymore.

A successful movie makes money off the consumer twice. Most of you knuckleheads already saw the movie in the theater yet you still buy the damn thing.

Releasing straight to DVD is only one avenue for making money.

Also movies only lose money if said consumers would have bought DVD anyway.

I get many pirated movies and music that I otherwise would never buy.
Movie studios and record companies are talking much shit.

They are breaking records in sales yet complain they are "losing" money.

    That money is fluff.
