This thread seems strange to me.
It's almost the same as "What's good software?" Isn't it all up to personal choice?

Usually people tend to like Norton, Symantec or kaspersky antivirus. some like NOD32 (it's what i use). Then there's the others.
For firewall it's usually either zone alarm or sygate.
there's a lot of antispyware programs you should try a few out. I like microsoft antispyware the best but it's personal opinion.
What is NOD32 like? is it heavy on system resources?Originally Posted by rossco_2004
nope.Originally Posted by zacspeed
atm it's using 7,036kb.
never causes slowdowns on my system, all other antivirus programs do for some reason.
Izzy's Picks:
Symantec Client Security= Firewall and Antivirus
WinXP Manager= System tweaking/customization
Paintshop Pro 9= Image editing/design
Winrar= Archive and .zip files
StyleXP, Icon Packager, CursorXP= XP desktop themes
Nero Ultra 6= CD/DVD burning
eDonkey2000, K-Lite= P2P filesharing
Theorica Codec package to handle video/audio codec needs
CCleaner= system cleaning, temp files, cookies, cache, etc...
IHateSpam= anti-spam
Adaware Pro SE= additional anti-ad/spy/malware security and removal
Pretty much everything listed can easily be found through ed2k links in "Verifieds". Hell- this place can also help keep you up-to-date on everything far better than Windows Update or the software itself.![]()
