I also download mainly because I can - I often download something just because I don't want to leave my downstream idle overnight. I also like the thought of sharing information freely.

Altho' with regard specifically to music and films, option three applies.

1-4 all apply at different times for me.

But like darth says, I think I also buy more because I download.

i dont think cost is really a good excuse because in the last few years, probably all down to broadband making it easy to download; cd albums have dropped from about £15 to £10 and games from £45 to about £30.

Yeah video games aren't cheap what so ever, so fucking over priced. But anyway the option that would apply to me , would be the first one..

Expire I like the issue yyou brought up-- I probably wouldnt buy if downloading wasnt available.
