Check your Recyle bin or try System restore.

if you already deleted em from the recycle bin...
which makes it seem not so "accidental", but oh well....
    you can try this
its free, its decent at getting files back...
unless you've already overwritten them by deleting a buch of other stuff,
or you have a small recycle bin

Makes me laff about the flaming of NSW recycle bin . In others words some need it, others not. When I stared with computers, I had three little ones and win 3.1
then win95, which had a recover option . Good idea ,what happened to that ? I 'd come home to a nightmare after work . Little ones were very busy .

and everyone wonders why i try to teach computer sense
to my daughter, niece & nephew
everyone is like "awww, just let em play around on it"
if i do that without explaining anything to em....
i'll come back to the pc....
and find i can only work in safe mode or DOS or something
they'll be like, "hey, whats that WINDOWS folder all about? lets see what we can do with it!"
"program files, we dont need no steeenking program files!"

I find its better to let little ones like , bro ,sis what ever to understand how to install a program, and how to treat cd's right. I let my 3 year old install programs for me sitting on me knee. He runs around with his middle finger in the cd hole ,knowing not to put his finger prints on the cd. I always thought smart kid !

Edit : I'v seen babies change the boot order in bios just from tapping keys at start up .
