Itled 1.0.2 yesterday and ow I have both 1.01 and 1.0.2 in my list of installed software

Same happened when I updated 1.0 to 1.0.1

Isn't it supposed to overwrite the previous installations?

    hmm...asspie

If you update Firefox on top of an old version, the new one will be installed but in the add/remove the old one also is listed. You can remove the listing of the old one. If you don't want listing of 2 versions, you'll have to do a clean uninstall and after that, install the version you would like to use.
This issue is known (read it somwehre on the Mozilla pages).
