i'm having a connectin speed problem. i have DSL, but i'm not sure what speed i'm subscribed to. i know that i can easily get speeds of 70+kbps on bittorrent and equal speeds on overnet, limewire, ares, etc.

lately my speeds haven't been breaking 30kbps. it is as if a cap has been put on me at 30kbps. i did a speed test a dslreports, and they confirmed that my connection is only capable of 37.7kbps. that is approximately half of what i was getting just a few days ago. what could have caused this?

i have clean virus and spyware scans. no firewalls running (xp's or others). i have restarted my modem and even messed with my switch trying to get things clicking again. only things i've installed recently was a RAM tweaker which i deleted anyways.

could my isp have capped me?

You also could go to 2wire.com and run the bandwidt test.
If your geting 37kB, you might have the 360kbps conection.
