Do I Have To...?

if i set up a new partition and a new system in it,do i have to install antivirus,firewall etc.etc. . can somebody please guide me on that one? thanks.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean, but if you're asking if you should install those things on a new system, the answer is a
resounding yes.
Start safe, & stay that way.

If you have different operating systems on different partitions then you'll have to install antivirus etc for each bootable partition.
The reason is that when you boot from an OS, the other OS's are automatically hidden.
