Is it possible to remove Subtitles that are imbedded in a video?
It seems like more and more of the downloads have subtitles. Anything from Dutch, German, Japanese or Chinesse yet audio is in English.

Personally I find them annoying and would like to remove them if possible.

Did search on subbtitles and did not find anything covering this problem else missed it.

Thanks for any advice in advance.

If the subtitles are on the movie itself there is noway to get rid of them.
    Just live with it

If the subtitles are in an area that doesn't affect the movie in anyway, then using VirtualDUB or a similar proggy, you can cut off the bottom part where the subtitles are... I think anyway.

other than that, you gotta stick with it.

There are filters for virtual dub to remove subtitles and 'embeded' logos. I have no idea about how good the result is tho. Think there were links from virtualdub.org, so have a look, if not, google around a bit.

Works quite nice, I've done it myself

EDIT: Forgot there are different methods used on that site - the one I used was the second method listed on that site.
