I believe that some 3rd partie companys are making progs that will write to the .pdf format (besides the #1 Adobe Acrobat [ not reader! ] ).
The only ones I know about besides reader are Broderbunds The Print Shop 15, Adobes (second official one) Indesign < It really good! .

Ok Harry Potter fans.
This appears to be a legitimate PDF of Book Five.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix(book5).PDF
My son has read them all and assures me this is not any of the first four.
I've breafly skimmed through it and it certainly does seem to be the genuine article.

It's sent out to reviewers and editors before the final version gets put into print. So it usually differs slightly (sometimes drastically) from the first-run printing.
