WOW questions

I have a few questions about World of Warcraft:

1. How does the card thing work? Do you buy another one when your subscription runs out, do you go somewhere and top it up again or...what?

2. I always thought that it was simply a MMORPG that has no single player, but after reading a magazine review of it there is a single player (i think). Is it like Diablo, where you play it all on single player, levelling up and crap, and then you can take that character online to meet other people and do quests online with other people?

1. You go buy a new one when your subscription runs out.

2. There is NO single player. You ALWAYS have to play online. You can go do quests and kill stuff by yourself, but there is no real "single player".
