I have an idea, might work.
After repairing it, and making it work, go to the network connections folder in control panel>right click your connection>status>click the 'support' tab.
Now right down teh gateway, ip and subnet mask.
Now to set a static ip (so you hopefully wont have to go to repair every time):
in network connections folder>right click connection>properties>click 'Internet Protocal (TCP/IP)' and click properties>click "use the following IP adress and type in the info you wrote down before, remember to put in the primary DNS in the field below (will be the same as "gateway"l (secondary dns is unneeded).
